Participants will take home their very own centrepiece, along with knowledge and skills to recreate similar arrangements at home. 

This workshop will run for approximately 45 mins and is perfect for all ages and abilities, from first time flower arranger through to seasoned pro.

Join Kate Hill and learn how to create a beautiful hand-tied classic floral bouquet, using predominantly locally grown flowers. Kate believes once you know the core foundations of floristry, you can confidently conquer anything in floristry! Kate will mentor you through the design steps, talk about the flower varieties and where they are grown, demonstrate how to make a design classic bouquet and share her knowledge (and tips and tricks) on how care for your bouquet at home. It’s a fun and creative workshop where you will also get to interact and ask Kate any questions you may have. In this 45minute recreational workshop you will learn basic floristry skills required to create a mixed bouquet full of beautiful seasonal flowers in the majestic MIGFS. Cost includes flowers and materials, all tools will be provided. Closed shoes are required for the workshop.

Feast your eyes on exciting demonstrations in our Sculpture Precinct. Meredith Plain, owner of Bulleen Art and Garden will be showing visitors how she creates her ceramic sculptures using her own combination of hand-building and sculpture techniques.  Jenny Whiteside is a stone sculpture who will be coordinating, with the help of John Bishop, a limestone carving demonstration. During the demonstration Jenny and John explain the different techniques and methods used to carve limestone.

Nestled within the Great Hall of Flowers, the Main Stage is programmed with free seminars from an extensive line-up of floral artists, gardening experts and celebrity landscapers. Glean insights into a range of horticultural topics, as well as live demonstrations and floral competitions from industry leaders.

Landscaping Victoria Master Landscapers will be offering FREE professional advice, with qualified and accredited Landscape Builders, Landscape Gardeners and Landscape Designers on hand to offer their help. Pop in to have a chat about your options, ask questions and get the right advice from the right people.
