Indoor Plant Zone – Master Bedroom

We spend a large portion of our lives in the bedroom, and we tend not to consider plants in this space. Introducing plants to your sleeping quarters can help ground the space.

Plants in your bedroom do so much more than just sit pretty. They help purify the air, reduce stress and induce a calmer space – helping you get a better night’s sleep

Recommended Plants:

  • Heart leaf Philodendron (Philodendron hederaceum) – To maintain floor space use shelves to style with.
  • Purple torch plant (Bartlettina sordida) – For more form and scale, this shrub adds a rich tone and texture to your space.
  • African milk tree (Euphorbia trigona) – Add height to narrow spaces with this architectural and intricate form.

Styling Tips:

  • When styling with a large quantity of plants, keep planter tones similar.
  • Wide headboards provide the perfect ledge for incorporating plants.

Whilst we love having indoor plants in the bedroom because of the many benefits they provide – unfortunately they can bring in some unwanted critters. Ensure that you are checking your indoor plants regularly for any pests, clean them often by misting their leaves with Scotts Osmocote Mist+Feed and use a potting mix that isn’t attractive to fungus gnats, like Scotts Osmocote Indoor Plant Potting Mix.

Scotts Osmocote Mist+Feed:  A ready to use spray, boosted with micronutrients vital to plant growth that is rapidly absorbed by leaves to help grow beautiful green, glossy foliage and protect them from the dry environments found in our homes. It’s an odourless and non-staining formula so you don’t have to worry about any over-spraying.

Scotts Osmocote Indoor Plant Potting Mix: Developed to bring out the very best in your indoor plants. This unique mix is formulated without compost or pine bark that are known to shelter pesky fungus gnats, helping to keep your home pest free!
