Getting to the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show is easy and convenient, whether you’re travelling by public transport or car. Located in the heart of Melbourne at the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, the Show is well-serviced by trams, buses, and trains. Visitors can take advantage of nearby tram stops along Nicholson and Victoria Streets, or enjoy a short walk from Parliament Station. If you’re driving, there’s ample parking available in nearby parking garages.

Public Transport
Public transport is a hassle-free and highly recommended way to get to the Show, allowing you to relax and enjoy the day.
Travelling by Tram?
Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone operates within the CBD and stops directly out the front of the Carlton Gardens. The closest tram stop within the Free Tram Stop zone is Stop 10 Nicholson St and Victoria Parade.
Tram Stop 11 (Melbourne Museum) is the closest stop, with entry to the Show via the Museum Plaza, however, please note this is outside of the free tram zone.
Travelling by Train?
The closest train station is Parliament Station which is in the City Loop. Parliament Station’s Spring / Lonsdale Street provides lift access to street level. This exit is only 600m from the Victoria St Entrance to the Show (Carlton Gardens)
Prefer to Drive?
If driving, be sure to plan ahead and take advantage of early arrival for the best parking spots as space is limited.
A few options for paid car parking nearby:
Melbourne Museum Car Park – entrance via either Rathdowne Street or Nicholson Street.
Paramount Car Park – 163 Exhibition Street Melbourne.
Victoria Parade Car Park – 90 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne.
Lygon Street Car Park – 204-218 Lygon Street, Carlton.
Accessible Parking Support
There is accessible parking available at the event via Rathdowne Street. Support will be provided at the accessible carpark where patrons will be assisted from their vehicle to the main entry by wheelchair or buggy transfer on arrival in the morning and again on their return to their car. Spaces are limited and are first come, first served.
ENTERING THE SHOW
Show Entrances
Make yourself familiar with the entrances to the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. If you have already purchased your ticket online, you are welcome to either print or show your ticket on your phone to be scanned at the gate.
Visitors can enter the event via the Victoria Street entrance or the Museum Plaza entrance.
The Southern Drive entrance off Nicholson Street is only accessible for Media accreditation and Exhibitor access.
Entry Cut Off Times
Wednesday 26th of March – No entry after 3:30pm
Thursday 27th of March – No entry after 8:30pm
Friday 28th of March – No entry after 5:30pm
Saturday 29th of March – No entry after 8:30pm
Sunday 30th of March – No entry after 4:30pm
Special Group Ticket Price
Special group ticket prices are made available to groups of 10 or more people. We recommend groups to attend the Show on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for the comfort and convenience of their passengers, as these days are less crowded than the weekend.
Coach & Bus Parking
The bus parking location is on Nicholson Street (Melbourne Museum side of the road), between Hanover and Carlton Streets.
Coach & Bus 'Drop Off' Area
A five (5) minute limit coach/bus pick up/drop off area is available on Nicholson Street, adjacent to the Royal Exhibition Building between Gertrude Street & Carlton Street.
This area will display signage identifying it as a Bus Touring Zone to drop off and pick up passengers. Clients should be advised to return to this area at a pre-determined hour for their return journey.
Drivers cannot remain parked within the drop off / pick up area and will incur heavy fines from parking officers if the time limit is exceeded.
