sustainability

The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is committed to sustainability, introducing several initiatives to minimize its environmental impact.

We’re thrilled to have Bio Gro our Sustainability Partner. Known for their commitment to sustainable innovation and environmental improvement, Bio Gro not only supplies mulch to many show gardens but also recovers organic materials at the show’s end. In 2024, Bio Gro diverted approximately 550m³ of organic matter from landfill, transforming it into compost and mulch for soil enrichment.

We discourage the use of floral foam in displays, promoting eco-friendly alternatives to help preserve our ecosystems. Additionally, we have adopted digital show maps to reduce printed materials, thereby lessening landfill waste. These steps reflect our dedication to creating a greener, more sustainable show for all to enjoy.
