Australian Institute of Horticulture (AIH) presented an Exhibition Garden at this prestigious event to highlight the importance of growing shade trees to improve our lived experience. There are many health benefits of planting the right tree in the right place. AIH also presented five awards to people who we feel provide a positive voice to advance the message of the horticultural industry to assist in addressing broader environmental concerns.
This film was born out of a documentary titled ‘Conquering Skin Cancer, produced by the Cancer Skin Prevention Unit NSW in partnership with the filmmakers at Moonshine Agency, this documentary dives deep into a uniquely Australian issue: our love of the great outdoors comes with a heavy price. While our outdoor lifestyle is admired worldwide, Australia also holds the unfortunate title of having the highest rates of skin cancer and melanoma. In cinemas in 30 locations across the country including the Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour, Morwell, Toowoomba and Launceston from December 2024.
Sessions can be used to educate the local community, host Q&A style events and fundraise for a cause of the host’s choice.
