26th March - 30th March 2025 Royal Exhibition Building & Carlton Gardens

Families can now experience the creativity of the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show without the added cost, with children under the age of 16 granted free entry to this year’s event, thanks to the support of the Victorian Government.

Returning to the heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens this month, from Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th of March, the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show is Australia’s premier floral and garden event, attracting over 100,000 visitors annually. With this exciting new initiative, organisers are encouraging families to explore the stunning floral displays, interactive workshops, and inspiring garden designs together, making the event more accessible than ever.

With screen time at an all-time high, swapping devices for dirt is a great way to help kids connect with nature, boost creativity, and improve overall wellbeing. A new survey from the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show has revealed the power of dirt therapy, with the overwhelming majority (93%) of Australians saying being outside and in the garden improves their mental health. More than half of Aussies experience less anxiety (62%) and feel an improved mood and happiness (60%) when gardening.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the next generation of garden lovers to this year’s Show, completely free of charge,” said Trent Cornish, Event Director of the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. “This initiative is all about fostering a love for nature, creativity, and sustainability in young minds while ensuring families can enjoy a fantastic day out without worrying about ticket costs.”
