Each year RMIT Fashion Design students are given a theme on which to base their amazing and creative plant-based designs. This competition forms part of the students’ curriculum for their third year of study, as a part of a design studio in which they explore exhibition as a mode for contemporary fashion enterprise. The designs are displayed in the Great Hall of Flowers for the five days of the Show at site C33, providing visitors with a very different insight into fashion and flowers.
The theme for the 2017 competition will be announced in the New Year.
In 2016 the RMIT Student Floral Fashion Design Competition Award was presented to Stephanie Wake.
