Cubby House Challenge

With FREE entry for Kids aged 14 and under  to the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, there’s no better place to take them to explore this weekend in Melbourne! Make sure the kids have a great day by checking out these fun activities.

Kids and adults alike will not want to miss the Cubby House Challenge® – the annual auction of spectacular cubby houses created by leading Australian design and architecture firms. Coordinated by Kids Under Cover (the official charity partner of the 2017 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show) all proceeds from the auction go to the charity’s youth homelessness prevention programs.

Companies producing cubbies for the 2017 Cubby House Challenge® include:

  • FMSA Architecture with RMIT University School of Architecture and Design (Architectural Robotics Lab) for their cubby Kooky Cubby
  • Grimshaw in partnership with Warrick home builders for their cubby MySpace
  • Playce in partnership with Agency of Sculpture for their cubby Glowb
  • Porter Davis for their cubby Rapunzel Tower
  • Probuild for their cubby Chameleon

Who doesn’t love face painting? Located among the Kids Under Cover Cubby Houses at site A68, kids can come along to have their face painted between 10am – 4pm daily.

PLUS, head to site B3B to explore different plants and flowers under a microscope, or pot up a plant for free to take home and watch it grow day by day.
